Jim LeBlanc

Jim is a Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist/sometimes harmonica player who has entertained the good folks of Columbia, South Carolina and beyond for over 25 years. Jim cut his teeth, playing college bars from 1984 – 1992 in 5 Points at places such as the Elbow Room, Pug’s in Five Points, and Sharky’s with his interpretation of cover songs spanned from the 60’s to the 80’s. Most nights he would have the crowd singing along to familiar ditties.

In the late 80’s and early ninety’s Jim also traveled to places like Augusta, Beaufort, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, Spartanburg, and Charlotte singing songs that were familiar to all those who came to one of his performances.

Jim released his first original album “Takin’ Time to Play” in 1987. Two of the songs “If I Had to Do it All Over Again” and “Adirondack Mountains” received some airplay in the mountains of Northern New York State.

Jim’s second release came in 1989 with his “Lights of the City” album (out of print). This was shortly followed by a novelty cut called “Mr. Exxon” or “The Ballad of the Valdese.” In ’93 he released another single in limited quantities called “Making a Mountain Out of a Tannyhill.” It was a tongue in cheek song about a USC quarterback and his escapades during the ’93 football season.

In 1997, Jim released another CD called “Give Me a Reason” which featured a simple arrangement of original songs performed by Jim using only an acoustic guitar and harmonica to back up his vocals. This CD featured locally popular songs such as “Billy’s Sister Sue,” “The Country Girl and the Folk Singer,” “The Morning Rain,” and “Money Man.”

Jim’s long awaited next CD, Life's Highway has just arrived! The CD is available for sale at Jim's gigs.

Jim still makes his living performing at restaurants and clubs throughout the Columbia vicinity. On any given night you can hear plenty of old favorites along with some more obscure cover tunes and a handful of original songs.

In now his 25th year in performing for audiences, Jim enters each performance with the same enthusiasm and love for the music as he has since his very first gig. As Jim puts it, “Music is what I am. I’ve tried to do other things, but the music always seems to call me back.” Please join Jim's Facebook Fan Page at http://www.facebook.com/jimleblancmusic

Chris Ash

Chris Ash is a local singer songwriter from Columbia, SC. Learning how to play guitar in middle school, he wound up setting the guitar down for years to pursue athletics, and later, college and graduate school. Chris earned his Ph.D. in School Psychology from The University of South Carolina in 2000 and has worked in Education and Mental Health since that time. Also a single father, he remained busy raising his daughter and enjoying watching her grow up. Picking up the guitar again as a young adult, he rediscovered his passion for music and joined an all original local band from the the mid 90's to the early 2000's; recording and performing whenever possible. Chris continued to learn new cover songs while also writing and refining his own creations. He continues this process to this day; writing, learning, recording, and performing both solo and with others. His songs have a rootsy, Americana type feel and range from heartfelt ballads to upbeat rocking numbers. His live performances are known for extended sets in which he weaves in and out of several songs at once as well as having others jump up to sit in with him on the spur of the moment. Blessed with a bluesy, growling vocal tone, Chris is able to meld to many genres and leans towards classic rock, blues, and country. He currently performs locally and continues to write and record original music. Friendly and outgoing, Chris enjoys meeting new musicians and growing into the local music scene.

Wishbone

Wishbone is a North Vancouver five-piece band steeped in classic-rock favourites and newer dance hits. We'll take you from the 1960's to the 2000's with shredding guitar solos, thunderous keyboards, and harmonious, driving vocals. We go from the Rolling Stones to Bruno Mars to the Cars any given set.

The more you dance the more enthusiastically we play... We might even join you on the dance floor to make the night a blast for everyone. No matter how you choose to be a part of the show we love to see you dancing, singing along like you’re in the car, or just sitting back with your drink and keeping time with your feet.

We play tunes by Tom Petty, Bruno Mars, The Beatles, The Cars, Fleetwood Mac, John Cougar Mellencamp, The Tragically Hip, The Black Keys, The Rolling Stones, The Band, Michael Jackson, Prince, David Bowie, Shania Twain, ZZ Top,and many others!

We are always adding new songs so no two shows are exactly the same.
